Revolutionizing Healthcare by Centering Care Around Patient Goals

The platform addresses a longstanding gap in how care is structured around the people receiving it, one that has less to do with clinical knowledge and more to do with how that knowledge is organized, tracked, and applied over time. Goalistic™ is designed to integrate meaningfully into existing healthcare environments rather than requiring significant changes to established workflows.

The work draws on a foundation of scientific research, human-centered design principles, and applied technology. It is intended to give health care teams, researchers, and health systems a more effective way to structure their work and collect meaningful data to connect clinical activity, patient-generated information, and broader research objectives.

Research on and user testing of the initial prototype has been completed. These results are informing ongoing development, with a phased roadmap guiding progress from early concept through evaluation, refinement, and implementation.

The research and development behind Goalistic™ originates from academic medical work and research at the University of Pittsburgh. The project emerged from direct clinical experience and a recognition that existing tools often fall short when it comes to supporting the patient-provider interface as well as the day-to-day demands of medical research study coordination, longitudinal data collection and analysis, and the translation of scientific research into practical care improvements.


The team includes physicians, researchers, and technologists working in close collaboration to translate a clinical insight into a functional, scalable platform through a rigorous research process. Each contributor brings domain-specific expertise and the development process has been shaped by ongoing engagement with the realities of clinical research environments and clinical care. This grounding in clinical practice is central to how Goalistic™ is being built.


The work spans clinical research, scientific research, and applied data collection and analysis, with the goal of producing tools that can improve clinical outcomes and satisfaction and reduce friction across diverse healthcare contexts. The team is committed to a rigorous, evidence-informed development process that reflects the standards of the academic and clinical communities it serves.

Goalistic™ is actively advancing through early-stage development, with current work focused on proof-of-concept activities in medical research study design, clinical research coordination, and data collection and analysis. The project is moving through structured development phases that emphasize careful evaluation in clinical practice and iteration before broader deployment.


The technology has been submitted for patent protection. Current activities include ongoing scientific research collaboration, protocol development, and preparation for prototyping and expanded evaluation phases. The team is engaged in the foundational work necessary to bring a rigorous, research-grade platform to the clinical environments where it is needed most.
